Job Description
Britespan Building Systems Inc. is hiring MIG (metal inert gas) welders for an on-site role at 71 North St., Wingham, ON N0G 2W0. The position is permanent and full-time at 40 hours per week, with shift, night, day, weekend and overtime work available. There are three vacancies and the start date is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities include interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual, semi-automatic and fully automated welding equipment, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals and processes, examining welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, operating previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, and starting up, shutting down, adjusting and monitoring robotic welding production lines.

The work involves steel, iron and heavy metals, multipass welding techniques, gas welding machines, structural construction and factory assembly. Applicants may be Canadian citizens, permanent or temporary residents of Canada, or other candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Work Setting and Conditions
On site in a manufacturing setting. Work must be completed at the physical location; there is no option to work remotely. Work site environment is noisy. Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, heavy loads, physical demands, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and standing for extended periods. Own transportation is required.
Essential Skills
MIG welding, welding specification interpretation, blueprint reading, weld inspection, manual and automated welding equipment operation, robotic welding production line monitoring, structural construction, and factory assembly.
Additional Skills
Experience with steel, iron and heavy metals, multipass welding techniques, gas welding machines, and fabrication or repair of metal parts and products.
